Donation for students amid budget cuts

Donation for students amid budget cuts

Monterey County schools will get a donation to offset cuts to field trip transportation budgets.

Schools like Cesar Chavez Elementary, Chualar Union Elementary, Marina Vista, Monterey Bay Charter School and Prunedale Elementary are some of the schools getting a chunk of the money to take students to explore a piece of history.

The Monterey County Office of Education partnered with the California Missions Foundation to offer financial assistance to 15 Title 1 elementary schools this year to take 4th graders to the missions of San Antonio and San Juan Bautista.
