Encore Boutique has closed its doors after eight years in business.

The consignment store, located at 125 Central Ave in Pacific Grove, offered customers gently used clothing and belly dancing apparel. According to the property manager, the owner decided to close up shop for family reasons as well as realizing most of her business can be done these days online. No longer will the eye-popping striped canopy hanging above the front door welcome in customers.  

The shop was first opened Feb. 1, 2002.

A.G. Davi Real Estate is marketing the 1,200 sq foot building to potential buyers, but water concerns still have to be addressed. A.G. Davi says it would be a great place for a small restaurant or a hair salon.
