Established in 1949, Mission Mortuary has a long tradition of serving the Fishermen of Monterey Bay and the workers from Cannery Row from the turn of the century. A tradition that has lasted. Mission Mortuary is located only a block from the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Many of the services are held at the historic Carmel Mission established by Padre Junipero Serra the Franciscan, founder of the California Missions.
The business was purchased in 1993 from Forrest and Mary Hallstead.
