LOCAL SCHOOLS GET BIG BREAK WITH McDONALD’S McTEACHER’S NIGHT FUNDRAISER OCT. 6 | Business

MONTEREY, Calif. – October 56, 2010 – Even local schools deserve a break today! From 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, all of Landon Hofman’s McDonald’s restaurants in Monterey County will be participating in McTeacher’s Night. 25%  of the evening’s sales will benefit Monterey County schools.

The participating McDonald’s are located at:

• 610 Del Monte Avenue, Monterey
• 100 Country Club Gate Center, Pacific Grove
• 267 Reservation Road, Marina
• 1516 Canyon Del Rey, Seaside
• 990 Playa Avenue, San City
• 1365 North Main Street, Salinas
• 1213 South Main Street, Salinas

McTeacher’s Night is a fundraising event designed to provide financial support to local schools. McDonald’s owners throughout the Greater Bay Area are partnering with neighboring schools for the one-night event. Each school’s principal and up to 10 teachers will “work” at their local McDonald’s restaurant greeting customers, working the registers, and, in some cases, assisting in the kitchen area with the preparation of food. Families of students and local school supporters are invited to visit their local McDonald’s and support the fundraiser.

“We are delighted to work with our local schools on this special evening to collectively raise money for education on behalf of McDonald’s,” said Landon Hofman owner and operator of the 7 participating Monterey County McDonald’s.

McDonald’s owner/operators throughout the Bay Area are hosting McTeacher’s Night fundraisers to provide financial support to local schools.
