It's a feast for the eyes on the Monterey Peninsula this weekend.
The crown jewel of the RM Auctions at the Portola Hotel in Monterey is a 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa, which set a world record at a car auction by selling for $12.4 million in Italy last year.
If you don't have millions lying around, organizers said there's still plenty of things for everyone. You can gawk at the set of Ferrari sports cars on display, or eye the microcars, which are squat vehicles built more for smiles than miles.
People who aren't car enthusiasts can easily get wrapped up in all the history and lavishness in one place.
Ian Kelleher, President & COO of RM Auctions, pointed out some of the star attractions: "To my right is a 500 [Ferrari] Mondial, one of only two coupes in existence. Also very, very desirable, very rare," he said, gesturing to a light blue car estimated at $1.5-1.8 million.
Even if you don't raise your hand when they're calling
