MONTEREY, Calif. - The fourth annual California Roots, a popular Reggae festival on the Monterey peninsula has sold out for this Memorial Day weekend.
"The hotels are all booked, they've been booked, rental cars are booked. Restaurants, bars, its definitely a surge of people. We have people coming from Australia, New Zealand, and South America," said Dan Sheehan, one founder of the festival.
Not only does the festival include some of the biggest headliners in the reggae industry, it also includes food and crafts from the island culture.
The festival was created four years ago by a company in Santa Cruz and started out as a one day event.
